WhatsApp may not allow you to take screenshots in the coming updates!

WhatsApp is one of the most popular instant messaging services around the world. It constantly roles out updates, sometimes useful but most of the time controversial. The next one in the line is no screenshot of chats.

Well from the look of it you might think that it’s just a normal update which won’t allow users to take screenshots. But it is not that easy. This feature is being showcased in the WhatsApp beta version 2.19.106. Now if you opt to enable this feature you won’t be able to take screenshots but other people can take screenshots of the chat you’re a part in. Confusing? Yeah, we thought the same.

Also, WhatsApp is working on Fingerprint Authentication which is a feature which will allow you to open WhatsApp and block screenshots after authenticating the app with your fingerprint. Read more about this feature.

It is not yet confirmed whether this feature will be released in the global version or not. Or even on WhatsApp for Android or iOS.
