With the population, as well as the popularity of gamers, increasing day-by-day (yay!!), we are very happy many organizations are starting to organizing tournaments for competitive gamers known as Esports Tournaments, We have compiled a list of Top 10 Esports Tournaments in the world.

10. DOTA 2 Asia Championships

The Dota 2 Asia Championships started in 2015. The first event of this series was known as DAC 2015. DAC had a prize of $1 million in 2018. It was held in March and April 2018 in Shanghai, China. The dates for 2019 tournament aren’t announced yet but probably will take place around the same time this year.


9. Fortnite Secret Skirmish

The Secret Skirmish is a tournament organized by Epic Games. This year, the event was held on February 15, 2019. It is a 2 days event and has huge prize money (close to $500,000).


8. PUBG Global Championship

The PUBG Global Championship is organised by PUBG Corp. It is the biggest Esport event for PUBG. Last year the event had 9 pro teams representing 9 different regions. The Prize money was close to $2,000,000. The event was held on 25-29 July 2018.


7. HALO World Championship


HALO World Championship

Halo Championship Series (HCS) is governed by Electronic Sports League and is organized by Microsoft and 383 Industries. It took place in April 2019. The event had total prize money of $1 million. The Tournament’s squads consist of 4 groups of 4 teams each.


6. The Overwatch League

The Overwatch League (OWL) is a professional esports league for the video game Overwatch, produced by Blizzard Entertainment. The prize for this year’s tournament is $5 million. The tournament season started on February 14th and will continue till August 25th.


5. IEM Katowice


IEM Katowice

The Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) is a series of international esports tournaments held in many countries around the world. The tournament was held in February 2019, with the grand finale held on 3rd March 2019. It was held in Katowice, Poland. The prize money for the 2019 event was $1 million.


4. Call of Duty World League (CWL)

The 2019 CWL Pro League is a global professional Call of Duty offline league operated by Activision, MLG, and Treyarch. The Tournament was held in January 2019. The players participated in the games via PlayStation 4 and the prize money of the tournament was $6 million.

The International

The International (TI) is an annual Dota 2 esports tournament hosted by Valve Corporation, the game’s developer. The first tournament took place in Cologne, Germany at Gamescom in 2011. In 2018, the tournament had a massive prize pool of $25 million.


2. League of Legends World Championship


League of Legends World Championship

This is the biggest tournament for League of Legend players worldwide and is organized by Riot Games. Since it is so popular, many professional players streamed their live performances on Twitch. The tournament started on February 3, 2019, with prize money of $2.25 million.


1. 2019 Fortnite World Cup


2019 Fortnite World Cup

The tournament announced at the E3 Party Royale Celebrity Pro-Am which started on April 24, 2019. This was the largest amount of prize money for any eSports event in 2019. The tournament was organized by the game’s developer — Epic Games. Players came from all over the world and had a chance to win cash prizes and qualify for the Fortnite World Cup Finals.
